I just did this exact thing to my Legion 7 Gen5 (10750H/2070Super) Same before as you, even with 2 less cores than the 10875, constant thermal issues from the day I got it. It's still powerful enough to throttle and still hang, but I got tired of not getting full performance. I tried a couple thermal pastes before setlling on LM. None of the pastes helped, maybe a 2-3c drop. With the LM applied I haven't seen it go beyond like 84c now. Clocks are sustained. Just a much better machine now. Wish I'd done it sooner. Just don't apply too much lol...I even put it on the GPU.

Very cool! I see in another comment that the weight was cut by 30 grams. I wonder if possibly more weight could be shed - especially for those of us in 250 gram max regions. Update: AUW is 377 grams - might be way too much to shed.

I plan to do like this mod last week to Flylens 85 remove ducts for high wind resistance. I already made some replacement mounts to replace the ducts

Hey Rimzler, I am currently deciding whether to get this one or the domain 3.6, i want to switch from 4s to 6s as i want more power to be able to carry my naked gopro and better wind resistance than my sub 250g drones, which one do you recommend? The manta 3.6 or domain 3.6? Manta i can get for €552 right now and the domain for €589

I've been getting close to 5 minutes on my Flylens 85 with o3 Lite and 1000mah battery. Thats flying it pretty hard too. I'm impressed but wish I'd gotten the full o3 and not the lite. Boards are much more open. Its just something to worry about. Took a nasty hit with the camera and knocked the lense cover from Flywoo off.

Hi Rimzler! Do you get butter smooth footage from the O3? I just bought The darkstar -also hyped from this video- and once I stabilyze the footage in Gyroflow it gets small continuous shakes that make the video just not professional (kinda blurry sometimes). I read it could be the esc frequency interfering with the gyro-sensors of the o3; so I changed it to high Hertz, but nothing. Soft mounting the camera seems also a goofy solution on a ready-to-fly. Do you have any idea what it can be? Thanks a lot in case you have time to answer back :) Ps You have great videos! Keep it up and thanks a lot for your content!!

I don’t understand how to fly like this. They fly them like fighter jets. He’s to describe but I don’t understand how you get the to fly straight up while facing upward/dive facing downward. Any drone I’ve had goes up and down and a upright position, it doesn’t actually face upwards like what’s perceived in the video lol Am I missing something?

May I recommend just modding it by 3D printing a new center housing that has a built-in mount for 3D-party prop guards? You do not have to worry about destroying any of the internals then lol.

Great job, you inspired me to try this gimbal. I am wondering if you get gyro data from O3 in this setup (for gyroflow stabilization)? On my setup I dont get gyro data, and if I turn on rocksteady, video from O3 in just black.

Great video once again, there are a few things thats you can improve. First of all this drone has linear antenna's instead of lhcp. This drops the range by about -3db. And on top of that the stock walksnail antenna's on the goggles are also not the best. You should put patch antenna's on the top and onmi on the bottom of the goggles. Doing these things you should be able to double the range you get. But like i said, great video once again. Keep up the good work.

Sigh ..this is a Cinewhoop drone. Also you're testing this in NO WIND so it does not prove anything as you stated. Look at the trees etc. No wind. You can buy drones for what you want. This is kinda stupid, just buy what you need to start with

Haha hillarious. The bitrate seemed to take a beating from the antenna abuse but the weight savings and performance is great. Would be cool to see a kit released to get the weight down to the absolute minimum on the whole frame. 😄👍🏻

As I understand the design of the Drone and its purpose by doing this modification he has just defeated its design and could have purchased a much cheaper DJI Drone without the protection guards.
